There Were Three Layers Of Brick. The Total Depth Of The Walls Was 20 Inches. District Children Were Brought To School In Horse-Drawn Vans. Each Rate Payer Could Drive A Van For So Many Days Depending On His Assessment In Lieu Of School Tax. A Unique System Developed By C.E. Titus Who Was The Secretary Of The School Board.
